Z Zurich Foundation in collaboration with One Young World is offering a fully funded scholarship to attend the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa. This opportunity is for young leaders who are working to create positive change in their communities, especially by helping young people move from learning to earning through education, employability, and entrepreneurship initiatives. A total of 25 young African leaders will be selected to participate in the summit, which will take place from 3 to 6 November 2026.
The Z Zurich Foundation aims to create a better future for vulnerable communities by focusing on key areas such as adapting to climate change, improving mental well-being, enabling social equity, and responding to crises. Through this scholarship, special attention is given to the “enabling social equity” pillar, supporting young leaders who are addressing challenges faced by youth, particularly in underserved and low-income communities.
The One Young World platform brings together young leaders from around the world to connect, collaborate, and create solutions to global challenges. It focuses on building strong networks, sharing knowledge, and empowering youth to make meaningful impact in their societies. The foundation believes that strong connections between leaders and communities are essential to solving today’s challenges and building a better future.
This is a fully funded opportunity with no application fee. Selected participants will attend the summit and also take part in pre- and post-summit programs designed to support leadership growth, build networks, and increase their impact. This opportunity is ideal for young leaders who are already leading initiatives and are committed to creating positive change in their communities.

Eligibility Criteria for Z Zurich Foundation Scholarship 2026:
- You should be between 18 and 35 years old by the time the One Young World Summit 2026 takes place.
- They must be nationals of and currently living in an African country.
- Candidates should have a clear track record of creating positive impact in their communities.
- An applicant with the a formally registered organisation with a clear not-for-profit mission and an official bank account in the organisation’s name is eligible to apply.
- You should be playing a main leadership role in your project.
